How we look after your information

Who we are

Aussie Rules Tattoo Studio Bali is a tattoo studio at Jl. Poppies II, Kuta, Bali. Enquiries, bookings and deposits are handled by our booking agent on behalf of the studio. Questions about your information go to info@aussierulestattoobali.com.

What we collect

• From our enquiry form: your name, phone number, email, how you'd like us to contact you, how many people are coming, your trip dates, where you're staying (for villa bookings), your tattoo idea and any photos or files you upload.
• Messages you send us on WhatsApp, email or Instagram.
• Booking forms for villa and sedation bookings. For sedation, this includes a short set of yes or no health questions, so we can flag anything that might rule you out early. We only use those answers for your booking and delete them once it's done. When you sign the sedation booking form, we also record your typed signature, the date and time, your IP address and device, and keep that with a copy of the terms you agreed to.
• Payment details for deposits, handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• How you found us. If you arrive from an ad or a link, we note where you came from and the page you landed on, and attach it to your enquiry.
• How you use our website, such as the pages you visit and the type of device you use, through Google Analytics.

What we don't collect

We don't collect your medical history. For sedation tattoos, you send the hospital's pre-anaesthesia form straight to the anaesthetist, and your medical assessment, blood tests and ECG are done at the hospital at your medical check, before your session. That information stays between you and the hospital's medical team, and we never see it.

How we use it

• To reply to you, send you our info packs and quote your tattoo.
• To plan and confirm your booking, send your booking summary and payment link, and handle payments and refunds.
• To give your artist what they need for your session, like your name, booking time and design ideas.
• To understand which ads and pages bring people to us, so we can improve them.
• To keep the booking and payment records the law requires, including the signed record of the terms you agreed to.

Who we share it with

We only share what each party needs to do their part:

• Our studio team and artists, so they can do your tattoo.
• For sedation tattoos, the hospital, so they can book your session. They get your name, date and pick-up details, plus any health answer you flagged on your booking form so they can check it before your session.
• The services that run our business: Stripe for payments, Twenty for our enquiry and booking records, Google for email and website analytics, Resend for sending form emails, WhatsApp for messages, and our website host.
• Advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, through cookies on our website, when we run ads.
• Authorities, but only when the law requires it.

Some of these services store data outside Indonesia, including in Australia and the United States.

Cookies and tracking

Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to see how people use the site, and may use Google and Meta advertising tags to measure our ads. If you arrive from an ad or a link, your browser keeps a note of where you came from for up to 30 days, so it can be added to your enquiry. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.

Photos and videos

We love sharing our work on socials. If you'd rather we didn't, or you want your face left out, just tell us when you book or any time after, and we'll respect it. Photos you send us for your design are only used to plan your tattoo.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep your information for as long as we need it for your booking, and keep payment records for as long as tax law requires. Enquiries that don't go ahead are cleared out regularly. Access is limited to the people who need it, and we use secure, reputable services to store it.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email info@aussierulestattoobali.com and we'll sort it out as quickly as we can. We only tattoo people 18 and over, and we don't knowingly collect information about anyone younger.

The legal bit

We're a Bali business and handle personal information under the laws of Indonesia, including the Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022). If we change this policy, we'll update this page. For deposits, date changes and refunds, see our Booking Terms.
